Thanks for your comment, Karen. I'm pretty sure this is a Black Eyed Susan hybrid, however. I googled it and found something pretty similar.

Ben, I believe this is a Cone Flower, a member of the Echinacea plant family.

Ben, this is a stunning image and one I find particularly interesting, as I took photos of the very same type of flower. Will have to research the flower. Wonderful macro, showing exquisite details. The brown seed head looks like it is made from burlap.
