Artist's Description
This image was captured in Oceanside, California at the harbor. I saw several ground squirrels on the rocks but they would scatter when I tried to get close enough to take a shot. I sat on the rocks and waited. Finally, after about thirty minutes, one finally approached close enough so that I could get a shot with a 300 mm lens.

In the early 1980's, I purchased a Canon SLR and have been an avid photographer since. My interests cover a wide range including landscape, nature, travel, wildlife and surfing photography. I am always searching for the next image. The joy of photography for me is this search and the discovery of an image and then, of course, capturing it in a pleasing way.
